We invite you to join us on Wednesday, February 9, for this month’s SALT+CLAY Story featuring Kate Wood, the award-winning blogger of Wood and Spoon and author of Her Daily Bread: Inspired Words and Recipes to Feast on All Year Long.
As a mom of three young children, Kate will be sharing with us how a real connection with herself, others, and with God has taught her to thrive, not just survive. We will be chatting about her newly released book, Her Daily Bread (Harper One, 2021), which connects food and faith in a 365-day devotional featuring daily reflections and nostalgic recipes. Kate has been featured in numerous online and print publications, including Southern Living, Taste of Home, Bake from Scratch, Food & Wine, Taste of the South, Buzzfeed, Martha Stewart, and more.
You won’t want to miss this upcoming interview as we discover more about the woman behind the book and the blog. We hope you will join us HERE for the LIVE IG interview on Wednesday, February 9 at 9:00 am PST. Look for Kate on her website HERE, and you can follow her HERE!
Are you wondering What are SALT+CLAY Stories?
Salt: Sharing Christ in Action, Word, and Creativity
For SALT+CLAY, the salt is the new life we have in Christ and the unique purpose he’s given us in the world. Ephesians reminds us that God has planned a unique purpose, unique gifts, and works to accomplish works with “our name” on them!
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 NLT
Clay: Uniquely formed and gifted for a specific purpose
Our clay is who we are, mind, soul, and body. Just as each earthen vessel is unique and made for a particular purpose, each woman has a divine uniqueness. We are like “jars of clay” with a “treasure” inside. This means that our physical bodies are like those jars and when awakened and filled with the Holy Spirit can have a profound impact on this generation.
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” 2Corinthians 4:7
