“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
Mark Twain once said that “the two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why.” Out of those two days, there is only one that we have any significant role to play. We certainly didn’t have any decision in our birth. But it is our responsibility to discover our purpose, the reason why we are here.
Made For More
Do you believe that God has a divine purpose and a specific calling on your life? Do you believe that you were made for more? We here at Salt + Clay believe that there is solid biblical evidence to answer those questions with an exuberant YES!
Crafted For Purpose
In Ephesians, we see that God has prepared in advance good works for us to complete. You were crafted with a purpose! And since God is the one who knows what your unique purpose is, what better place to discover it than in His Presence? We are convinced that the first step in discovering our purpose is by cultivating a deep relationship with Jesus. Webster’s dictionary defines cultivation as the process of preparing the soil for the raising of crops. To loosen or break up the soil. To foster growth.
Healthy Soil
Anyone knows that abundant fruitful gardens begin with healthy soil and tending. Our lives are the soil with which God desires to plant beautiful purpose in order to bring forth a harvest of blessing for us and for others. I certainly want that for my life, how about you?
Tending Your Purpose
At its most basic, the idea of cultivating means to nurture and help grow. If you desire to pursue a life on purpose then it will begin with cultivating a relationship with Jesus as you daily attend to the soil of your soul through prayer, worship, and the Word of God. That’s when things get growing!
Cultivating Community
We also believe that cultivating a life in a community is essential for growth both personally and spiritually. We weren’t created to live this life out alone we need each other so that we can become the women God has called us to be.
In order help jump-start the process we’ve created two new opportunities to help you get growing again in your God-given purpose. We hope you will consider joining us as we begin to cultivate a deeper relationship with God while also surrounding ourselves with other like-minded women in the process.
